Information We Collect
Exerscroll is designed to keep your exercise, progress, and app preferences on your device when possible. In addition, we and our service providers may collect or process the following to operate, secure, and improve the app and to measure marketing and subscriptions:
Local app data (on your device).
Unless we say otherwise below, your progress, stats, balances, settings, and exercise-related activity are stored on your device in the ordinary course of using the app. Camera-based rep tracking and related session data are processed on your device for the app to function.
Subscriptions and payments.
Paid features are offered through in-app purchase with Apple and our paywall and subscription provider (Superwall). We receive information needed to validate your subscription and unlock features (for example, subscription status and transaction-related signals from Apple’s systems and our paywall provider), not your full payment card number (Apple processes payments).
Analytics, advertising, and app events (Meta).
We use Meta tools, including the Meta (Facebook) SDK and App Events, to send event data (for example, app open and subscription-related events, and other events we configure) for purposes such as analytics, attribution, advertising, and product improvement, as described in Meta’s policy. This may include device and app information in line with that integration. Meta processes such information under Meta’s policies: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Advertising identifier and App Tracking (Apple).
On supported devices, we may request permission to use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. If you allow cross-app / cross-site tracking, we and partners such as Meta may use identifiers such as the IDFA for the purposes above, within Apple’s rules. If you do not allow tracking, we do not access the IDFA for that purpose, though some limited measurement (for example, SKAdNetwork-related data) may still be available in accordance with Apple and our partners’ policies and your settings.
We do not use Exerscroll to read your iCloud, contacts, or messages for marketing.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do share information with a limited set of service providers that help us deliver Exerscroll and measure its performance, including:
Apple — in-app purchases, receipts, and subscription support as part of the App Store. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies.
Superwall — paywall and subscription / entitlement flows used in the app. Superwall’s privacy policy applies.
Meta (Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates) — the Meta SDK, App Events, and related measurement, analytics, and advertising services, subject to your App Tracking choice where applicable, and to Meta’s policies. https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
We do not sell your personal information for money as a traditional data broker would. We do not share your data with data brokers for their independent marketing to third parties.
Because Meta and other partners process data on their own systems, some information may be retained and used under their policies, which we do not fully control.
Security
We take privacy seriously and design Exerscroll to minimize data collection. Because app data is stored locally on your device, the security of that information depends in part on your device’s own protections, such as passcodes, Face ID, Touch ID, device encryption, and operating system security.
We select providers with reasonable security practices, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Data processed on third-party services is protected according to those providers’ practices and your account settings with them, where applicable.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to your information. Examples include:
Camera, Screen Time, and notifications — as in your current policy (device settings).
App Tracking (iOS) — you can allow or decline “Allow [Exerscroll] to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites” in the system prompt, and you can change this under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and in the app’s own settings in Tracking when shown.
Subscriptions — you manage subscriptions through your Apple ID and App Store subscription settings.
Local data — deleting the app (or data) on your device removes local app data as your device and OS allow; that does not necessarily delete all data already received by our partners, which is governed by their policies and tools.
Contact — you may contact us with questions, as in the Contact section below. Some regions provide additional rights; we will respond in line with applicable law when we can verify your request.
Data Retention
Data on our service providers may be retained and used by those providers (for example Meta and Superwall) according to their own retention and deletion practices and your choices with them. We do not promise that we can delete data on a partner’s systems on your behalf.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our privacy practices. Continued use of Exerscroll after any updates signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
